  • Maturity isn't fun.
  • Nice to see a few of my picks in there!
  • We totally acknowledged that it was a popularity vote more than "Well, we have to make sure the Beatles are represented, maybe more than once. We need to make sure so and so is represented, for what they did for music."
  • Really, it's a look into the board's tastes and what we valued in music esthetically.

listened to pinkerton for the first time yesterday and thought it was quite good. a lot better than their self-titled to me, but i've only heard each once now

i pray for boards of canada or aphex twin or something to sneak into the next ranking. not sure if the forum has gained enough electronic fans since last vote, though. some classic hip hop would be sweet, too (doesn't everyone love illmatic and 36 chambers?)
  • Yea the lack of illmatic is pretty fkkn wierd.
    @shoeyman or so iv heard
  • I think I put Illmatic on both my lists.

    good man
  • I mean I love Illmatic a lot, it's just not one of my favorite 25 albums ever.
  • and yes it's because "halftime" is a garbage song for garbage people.
  • Ba da da da da ba da da da da bad taste
  • nah that's just a legit bad song.
  • I respect ur wrong oppinion
  • halftime is one of the strongest tracks on an album full of 'em
  • counter-argument: it's got fucking sleigh bells in the beat

I'm pretty sure it only exists to be the bass track. Not to mention the lyrical content is just the least substantive thing on that record.

Isn't there a line about switching "like a faggot"?

    song sucks. bar none.
  • I hear when he performed Illmatic in completion recently, he cut that line.
  • I think he should cut the whole song, but hey... that's just me
  • I give everything prior to 2010 a pass on the fag word
