Wrestlemanias

edited March 2016 in General
This episode of Raw should be really good between Brock, Cody Rhodes coming back, and Charlotte & Sasha Banks debuting.

  • contract signing main event? I'm sure nothing will go wrong.

Am I really supposed to be surprised that a 58 year old (at the time) former wrestler with an All-American gimmick uses the n-word in his private life? I'm appalled, to be sure... but I'm hardly surprised.

It's a real shame that Hogan's legendary career has to end this way, but ultimately he did it to himself.
  • Wait for the E to replace him a la Benoit. The memes have begun already.
  • I wonder who the replacement tough enough judge is going to be. They only have 3 days to find someone for that.
  • wait is this another porno thread
  • I wonder if they acknowledge firing Hogan tonight on Raw.

    My guess? no.
  • its called Raw kyle.
  • Rowdy Roddy Piper died.

    fuck.
  • Jon Stewart is hosing SummerSlam, which is cool for the WWE because he should be way too big to say yes to something like that.
  • That's kinda neat
  • Having Stewart turn heel on Cena last night was pretty brilliant. It got picked up by every major media outlet in the country.
  • I know none of you care but the Sasha Banks / Bayley 30 minute iron man match main event is a huge deal and it'll probably be amazing. I wish I was able to watch it live tonight.
  • Hey guys Wrestlemania is next weekend. It's the one time a year where it's socially accepted to watch wrestling!

If anyone has any questions on the road the Wrestlemania I can be your genuine wrestle buddy.
  • What's the headliner

They're billing it as a 3 main event show, but it's looking like the last match will be:
Undertaker vs Shane McMahon in a Hell in a Cell match
*if Shane wins he gets control of Raw
*if Undertaker loses it will be his last Wrestlemania

The other 2 main events are:
    Brock Lesnar vs Dean Ambrose
    no holds barred, no DQ

    Roman Reigns vs Triple H
for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
  • Those seem kind of lame. I can't believe The Undertaker and Triple H are still wrestling, and i have no idea who dean Ambrose and Shane McMahon are.

Shane McMahon is Vince McMahon's son, he left the company about 5 years ago IRL over a rumored power struggle. He's spent most of his 40s running a video on demand company in China.

Undertaker and Triple H are 51 and 46 respectively. Old, but not crazy old in something like wrestling. Guys can keep wrestling for a long time as long as it's in a part time role.
  • Brock Lesnar is also 38, so basically all 3 main events have someone who is old as fuck in them.

The actual main event has two.

the thing to know about Shane McMahon is that he's known to do extremely dangerous things. Homie is the only person crazy enough to ever jump off the titantron (and he did it twice)
  • Does Sting still wrestle?
  • he had a match at Night of Champions in September but he suffered a neck injury that I guess is career ending?

There were retirement rumors like a week or two ago but Sting denied it.

My gut feeling is that he's probably done.
  • Watch this, it's stupid.

What I love about stuff like that is the old school carny shit of how they get Sting to the ring without spoiling the surprise for the fans in the building. Usually they'll throw someone in a hoodie or a security uniform and hide them under the ring.

but sting has facepaint so that probably doesn't work. My guess is they actually took that thing to the ring as is and wheeled it up with a ramp or something.
  • Haha, that was pretty silly, but felt very old school wwf
  • you ain't kiddin
