  • Wipers were pretty damn underrated.
  • I can't rate the discography of my fav band but I could do another of my favorites..

    Rammstein:

    Herzeleid - 6.5
    Sehnsucht - 7.0
    Mutter - 8.5
    Reise, Reise - 7.0
    Rosenrot - 9.5
Liebe ist für alle da - 9.0

Like all lists, it can vary at different times, but not too much. I wish we would've gotten more music from them after the last album in 2009..

Cocteau Twins (not including eps) :

    1. Treasure
    2. The Pink Opaque
    3. Heaven or Las Vegas
    4. Head Over Heels
    5. Victorialand
    6. Blue Bell Knoll
    7. Garlands
    8. Milk and Kisses
    9. Four Calendar Cafe
  • whoa. guess it’s time for me to listen to the pink opaque if it’s above HOLV
  • It’s a collection of early singles and rarities that flows like an album. It’s a personal preference. The first time I heard it, it was a copy of a copy of a cassette. The sound quality was terrible, but it blew me away.
  • I love Treasure but HOLV is top 10 of all time material
  • Yeah Heaven is number one for me, I also like Blue Bell Knoll more than you
  • i'm with robby, HOLV is perfect and among my favorites ever
  • yeah Heaven's in my top 5 of all time.

Blue Bell Knoll is incredible, as well.
  • But keep in mind, my top 6 is all 9s and 10s
  • Godspeed You! Black Emperor:

    F♯A♯∞ - 8.5/10
Slow Riot For New Zero Kanada - 10/10
Lift Yr. Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven! - 9/10
    Yanqui U.X.O. - 9.5/10
    'Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend! - 8/10
‘Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress’ - 6.5/10
    Luciferian Towers - 5/10
  • I agree that the last two aren’t as good.
  • one of the reasons I'm not seeing them on their upcoming tour (other than money and all that) is that based on setlists they mostly seem to be playing the new album, which zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • It’s only now that I’m realizing how great Trent’s track record is. In all these years you’d expect one or two duds, but even his worst albums are pretty good.

Putting a live album ahead of The Downward Spiral. What the hell are you doing mang
  • Putting anything ahead of The Downward Spiral is the wrong answer.
  • It’s their best album, and it wouldn’t be the only band whose best album is a live album. (Daft Punk, Motorhead, The Who come to mind. Hell I go back to live Boris recordings with just as much frequency as their studio stuff if not moreso.) It was the album that got me into NIN but even now listening to it, it easily has the most electrifying renditions of most of that material. As much as I love Pretty Hate Machine, I almost always go for THIS version of “Terrible Lie”. “Head Like a Hole” even.
  • It obviously helps that NIN has always been an incredible live act. They played like 2 and a half hours when I saw em in 2013 and it was so so so fun.
  • They ARE amazing live.
  • I saw them for The Fragile tour, it was amazing
  • The live album was from that tour so you should know first hand why it’s their best album lol
  • I was there for Year Zero.
  • The Downward Spiral is the best album though. As a studio creation with a specific artistic vision, that album is untouchable in regards to the rest of his discography.
