Hip Hop

old one got deleted with spam I guess.

I'm really enjoying the new Czarface, it's not high art or anything but it's a nice dirty rap record with cool beats and some dope lines.

  • Yeah that's weird. I was going to put my Vince Staples post here, but I couldn't find it.

Also, I need to check out Czarface.
  • I think what happened is that in the process of deleting banned accounts the thread was lost because one of the spammers made it.
  • Makes sense.

But Vince Staples is super solid! Check it!
  • New Czarface is great! Vinyl version came with a 70 page comic, but I haven't read it yet.
Anyone listened to the new Ghostface Killah album that dropped today? 12 Reasons to Die 2
  • I'm new to the forum, but was curious what everyone's top 5-10 hip hop albums were for 2014
  • I don't think I heard enough hip hop albums last year.
  • Kendrick
    Billy Woods
    Lil Ugly Mane

    there's more but I don't member

  • My top "old school shit" is:

    Eric B. and Rakim
    Early-era Snoop

    More recent artists:
    Aesop Rock

  • I've been really into Eric B. and Rakim, Tribe, and De La Soul lately.
  • de la soul is the best... i dare anyone to listen to 3 Feet High and Rising and not leave in a better mood

I enjoy the early stuff, but no one talks about the later stuff. Stakes is High, Grind Date, all that.

I'm excited to hear their new crowd funded album, apparently they're gonna cut samples out of music which they write and compose themselves.

    Like this track, where they used an incredible beat from Dilla;

  • Pretty sweet track, Nick.
  • Despot finally dropped his first single and it's awesome
  • ohhh ish.
  • @Des let's talk about how good the new Future is. Colossal, I Serve The Base, Slave Master, and Where Ya At are my faves so far.
  • does Future have any more songs as fun as this

  • @existence that's a great song, but there's stuff just as good if not better on the new album, it's a little long, and could stand a little editing, but it's pretty dope.
  • @existence sadly, that's the only good Future song
  • well actually i take that back because i haven't heard the new future
